We are looking for an experienced and organized certified Avaya technologist who can perform all phases of IP Office pre-cut/post-cut installations. Furthermore, the candidate must possess prior experience in Moves/Adds/Changes on Avaya IP Office systems with little or no technical assistance. Must have practical understanding of basic IP Office system, One-X portal , Voicemail pro & IP Office mobility solutions.


Responsibilities

:

•

Perform local and remote software changes and repair procedures using appropriate technical documentation.
•

Perform station routing, troubleshooting, testing, repair and preventative maintenance of system/station equipment.
•

Remote web training to clients on existing or new products.
•

Stage, program and implement systems and applications from scratch.
•

Monitor WAN/LAN networks to identify and correct issues as they arise on a converged voice/data system.
•

Responsible to efficiently close service orders based on our service commitment.
•

Will be needed on the road to move telephone systems as well as diagnosis complex issues.
•

Document equipment and software configurations.
•

Analyzes the needs of clients and recommend solutions to the hardware and/or software.
•

Coordinate upgrades with clients for hardware and/or software.
•

Diagnosis sufficiently with clients and/or manufacture to provide timely identification of customer issues.

Pre-Requisite Qualifications:

•

3-5 years of telephone/PBX and computer hardware/software installation, MAC, convergence, service experience.
•

Must have several field experience installing IP based IP Office systems.
•

Must have working knowledge of data & Qos networking.
•

Avaya IP Office experience and certifications such as, APDS (Design) and APSS (Support).
•

Relevant voice/data network and support technology and protocols at an advanced level (e.g., TDM, TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, Netbios, Netbui, ICMP, SMTP, SNMP, subnetting).
•

Voice/data, Lan/Wan environments with a working knowledge of Centrex, PRI, Internet, T-1, ISDN, DSL, VoIP, FR, MPLS, and ATM.
•

Relevant hardware (e.g., routers, switches, PC’s & servers), printers, and other various peripheral devices.
•

Strong bilingual communication skills, both verbally and written, with a high level of confidence.
•

Flexible hours, some overtime may be required.
