Our client is currently looking for an
Operations Support Specialist.
This person will work as part of a team operating a large number of mission-critical Linux and Windows Based systems. The person will help monitor service uptime as well as performance.
If a problem is identified, escalation to the appropriate business or technical team and must coordinate the efforts of all the teams involved.
Minimum of 3 years working on a primarily Linux environment – BASH Scripting
RHEL/CentOS an asset
Minimum of 3 years working with Windows Server
Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills
Excellent verbal and written English skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience managing monitoring software
Sitescope, OpenNMS, Cacti, Gomez and Alertsite
Experience supporting: Apache/Tomcat/JBoss web application servers
Availability to work on a weekend schedule
Available after-hours on-call emergency assistance
Available for occasional international travel
Atlassian’s JIRA and Wiki
Knowledge of NetApp Storage Systems
Knowledge of Exchange Servers
Cisco Unified Communications
Cisco Networking Gear
Experiences working in ITIL environment
